Why Is The WBS Ministry Important?

Did you know that of the 7 billion people that occupy this earth two thirds or approximately 5 billion have no belief in Jesus Christ? WBS is one efficient method in which one teacher can study with hundreds or thousands of students.

Why Should I Get Involved?

"Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I will be with you always, to the very end of the age"" Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV)

A WBS Teacher Survey lists these top ten reasons for becoming a part of this ministry:

1. I can become a missionary without leaving home.
2. I can serve although I am physically challenged.
3. I can grow in the Word while teaching others.
4. I can learn to be an encouraging person through the encouragement I receive.
5. I can develop friendships by mail and lead them to Christ.
6. I can teach about Jesus without the fear of being rejected.
7. I can see the work of the Holy Spirit.
8. I can help those in need with scriptural advice and comfort.
9. I can witness answered prayers.
10. I became humbled.

1. You are responsible for each student that is assigned to you.
2. You will need to maintain a mailing address (other than the church); P.O. boxes are okay.
3. You will need to send lessons, grade answer sheets, and respond in a timely manner.

Teachers have had to quit for reasons beyond their control, in particular due to health. When teachers are transferred from one area to another, the student mail simply travels with them requiring a change of address (unless the student is better served by placing him or her with another WBS teacher more local to the student.). Teachers inform their local church coordinator (Howard Cox and Lisa Marsh at Mission Viejo) of the change.

What Do I Need To Get Started?

All the WBS lessons, answer keys, bibles, envelopes, and WBS Postal mailing system are provided to you through your membership church at Mission Viejo.
